Welcome to the home of the Penn Central Railroad Historical Society! Our mission is to preserve the history of the railroad known as the Penn Central Transportation Company, including its people and equipment, its heritage before its formation in 1968, its all-too-brief life, and its slow fade into Conrail.

The 2008 PCRRHS Convention will be held in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on September 18-20. Details on this exciting event are now available.

The new X29 maintenance-of-way boxcars from the PCRRHS are here! The Penn Central cars are sold out, but the PRR cars are still available. Details and ordering information are now available in the Society Store.

The 2008 Penn Central Railroad Historical Society 12"X18" wall calendar is still available! The calendars are published by The Weekend Chief Publishing Co. and are now available in the Society Store.
