The 2008 PCRRHS Convention was held on September 18-20 at the Radisson Lackwanna Station Hotel in Scranton, Pennsylvania. While Scranton was really a Lackawanna city, the Penn Central got close to Scranton, reaching nearby Wilkes-Barre. There was still plenty of PC to experience, however. The following photos are by Jerry Jordak.
Our convention host, Stephen Tyk, works the registration table on Thursday afternoon.
The next group of pictures are from the model room.

On Friday was a field trip along the former PRR line between Buttonwood and Sunbury, operated today by Canadian Pacific.
The first stop was for lunch at the Front Street Station, the former PRR depot in Northumberland.
While preparing to depart after lunch, an NS local arrived at Northumberland Yard.
The next stop was to view the former PRR station in Sunbury.
The only remaining railroad structure along the Sunbury Branch today is this former PRR depot at South Danville.
At Catawissa, a stop was made at the Whistle Stop Caboose Lodge.
North Catawissa, or NORCA, was where the PRR crossed the Reading. Immediately after crossing the PRR, the Reading crossed the
East Branch of the Susquehanna River on this multi-span truss bridge.
Saturday's highlight was an excursion over the Delaware-Lackawanna's Pocono Main Line from Scranton to Mt. Pocono behind former LV/D&H C420 405 and DL C636 3642 (built as PC 6342), with the sleeping car City of Lima (owned by the
Erie Lackawanna Dining Car Preservation Society), and a DL caboose.
Here is our train ready to depart from Scranton outside the hotel.
Riding out of Scranton inside the caboose.
A photo stop was made at Moscow.
At Tobyhanna, a stop was made to eat lunch, along with a photo runby past the former Lackawanna station.
Upon arriving back in Scranton, a group photo was taken with the 3642 and the DL crew.
After the train ride was a visit to the Electric City Trolley Museum and Steamtown, including a shop tour at Steamtown.
