Herb Brown shows off the menu of the Steaming Tender restaurant in Palmer, MA, where we ate lunch on Saturday. The restaurant is located in the restored former Boston & Albany/Central Vermont union station building.

After leaving Palmer, we visited the Connecticut Trolley Museum, where we got to ride on their PCC car 451. Gary Farmer videotapes the action while Dave Hopson looks on.

PCRRHS members also rode Car 1326.

The annual convention banquet was held Saturday night. Chip Syme (left) and convention co-host Dave Owens lead the chow lines.

During the banquet, Chip Syme was honored for his upcoming retirement as a locomotive engineer for Penn Central, Conrail, and Norfolk Southern. Dave Owens presents Chip with a 1999 Norfolk Southern calendar, autographed by all the members in attendance.

A special cake was made for the occasion.
