Cleveland Division General Order 405 - Harvard Connection
General Order 405, issued for the Cleveland Division on September 30, 1970, placed the Harvard Connection in service between the Main Line Alliance to Cleveland and the Cleveland Short Line Branch. This General Order also put in service single track on the Cleveland Short Line Branch through the "tunnels" near Broadway Avenue as well as across the Cuyahoga River viaduct. New interlockings (CP TUNNEL, CP MILL, CP CANAL, and CP BRADLEY) were placed into service at this time. Below is a map accompanying the General Order showing the new interlockings and track arrangement.
