The 2022 PCRRHS Convention will be September 22-24, 2022, in the Toledo, Ohio, area.
Hotel
Our convention hotel is the Holiday Inn Express Toledo-Oregon, located at 3154 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH 43616. The hotel has a discounted block of rooms reserved for our Convention at $109 per night + tax per night (special rate requires minimum 2 night stay) and includes hot continental breakfast. This special rate will be available until August 22, so book early, use group code PCR to obtain discount. Activities
On Friday September 23, we will tour the NSG Glass Operations automotive glass manufacturing plant in Rossford. In the afternoon, we will embark on a 2-hour cruise on the Maumee River on the “Glass City Pearl”. The cruise will provide a unique view of the many industries lining the river, railroad bridges crossing the river and the former C&O coal and ore docks. The cruise will depart promptly at 1:00 PM.
On Saturday, September 24, following the annual business meeting, members will be free to explore the Toledo area and beyond on their own. A Convention brochure will be made available online and at the Convention listing nearby attractions, railfan sites, and places to eat.
The convention banquet will be held Saturday September 24 at 6pm at the Maumee Elks Club, located at 137 West Wayne St., Maumee, Ohio. Our banquet speaker this year will be industrial illustrator Gil Bennett. Mr. Bennett graduated from the University of Utah with studies in architecture and a Fine Arts degree. His work can be found on calendars, cards, book covers and prints.
