The WestConn Chapter NRHS and the Penn Central Railroad Historical Society hosted the 2015 PCRRHS Annual Convention in Norwalk, Connecticut, on September 24-26, 2015 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Norwalk.
On Thursday, September 25, WestConn Chapter’s restored former PC BERK Tower, with its 68 “Armstrong” levers, was open for attendees to tour at their leisure. Members could take in the evening Amtrak and Metro-North rush hour from the tower. On Friday was the annual business meeting in the morning followed that afternoon by a ride up the Metro-North Danbury Branch to the Danbury Railway Museum. Saturday's activities included a ride on the Metro-North New Haven Line to Grand Central Terminal for a tour of GCT and the New York City Subway signal school. That evening, our banquet speaker was Jack Swanberg, former Penn Central trainmaster and author of the book “New Haven Power.”
