The Penn Central Railroad Historical Society is pleased to announce our latest custom freight car offering—a 3-dome tank car from Tangent Scale Models. These cars were used in captive company service to haul clean and dirty lube oil for locomotive maintenance.

Tangent Scale Models has released HO scale models of New York Central Lot 782 and Penn Central N7 class bay-window cabooses. These cars come with full interior detail and lights and are available now direct from Tangent for $114.95 each.
HO SD45s announced by ScaleTrains.com
ScaleTrains.com has announced a run of Penn Central HO scale SD45s in their “Rivet Counter” series. These models will be available in five numbers with the all-white emblem and in one number with the “red P” emblem. All six numbers will come as DC/DCC-ready with a list price of $189.99 and DCC and sound-equipped (ESU LokSound 5 decoder) with a list price of $279.99.

New HO boxcars from Athearn
Athearn has announced a run of HO scale 50-foot Superior plug-door boxcars painted for Penn Central. The cars will be available in three numbers with a list price of $34.98. Expected availability is December 2021.
New HO scale trailers from Rapido Trains
Rapido Trains has announced new HO scale Fruehauf 35-foot and 40-foot trailers, including 40-foot fluted-side side-door trailers in Penn Central and Pennsylvania Railroad. Now you can fill out the empty cars on your TrailVan trains!
Each road name will be available in three different trailer numbers with a list price of $29.95 (US) each.

New HO U25B locomotive models announced by Bowser
Bowser has announced a new run of U25B locomotives in their “Executive Line,” including two patched ex-New Haven numbers (with paint scheme variations), along with two Penn Central numbers—one in the "red P” scheme and one in the standard scheme with the all-white logo. Two PRR numbers are also included in this run.
